East Anglian Traditional Music Trust (EATMT)
EATMT is seeking an organised and friendly Volunteer Coordinator to support Traditional Music Day and a range of community and school-based events celebrating traditional music, song, and dance heritage across Suffolk.
Contract & Hours
- Salary: £26,000 pro rata (£5,200 per annum, 0.2 FTE)
Hours: 7.5 hours per week (flexible, including some evenings and weekends)
Contract: 19-month fixed term (with potential for extension)
Location: Suffolk / East Anglia (hybrid working)
Start date: 9th March 2026 or soon thereafter
The Role
You will recruit, train, and support volunteers, helping them develop skills and confidence while ensuring events are safe, inclusive, and well delivered. You’ll work closely with the Project Director, Project Co-ordinator, Events Promoter, trustees, and volunteers.
Key Responsibilities
- Recruit, train, and coordinate volunteers for events
- Ensure sufficient volunteer cover for health, safety, and event needs
- Promote volunteering opportunities to diverse communities
- Support engagement with schools, colleges, and community groups
- Gather feedback and help improve volunteer engagement
You Will Have
- Experience working with volunteers in a community or arts setting
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple activities and work independently
- Confidence working with a wide range of people
- Good IT skills (Microsoft Office, email)
Desirable
- Interest in traditional folk music or cultural heritage
- Safeguarding or first aid training
