Events Promoter
East Anglian Traditional Music Trust (EATMT)
EATMT is looking for an organised and creative Events Promoter to lead the promotion and delivery of Traditional Music Day and support other Trust events celebrating traditional music, song, and dance in Stowmarket and across Suffolk.
Contract & Hours
- Salary: £27,000 pro rata (£5,400 per annum, 0.2 FTE)
Hours: 7.5 hours per week (flexible, including some evenings and weekends)
Contract: 19-month fixed term (with potential for extension)
Location: Suffolk / East Anglia (hybrid working)
Start date: 9th March 2026 or soon thereafter
The Role
Working with the Project Director, Artistic Director, Project Co-ordinator, volunteers, and trustees, you will manage the organisation and promotion of EATMT activities. You will lead on marketing and communications, support volunteer recruitment, liaise with local partners, and help develop on-the-day fundraising.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and promote Traditional Music Day using print, digital, and social media
- Support promotion of other EATMT events
- Deliver marketing activity including website content, newsletters, and community outreach
- Liaise with local councils, councillors, businesses, and community organisations
- Support volunteer recruitment for Traditional Music Day and other events
- Help develop and deliver fundraising activity during events
You Will Have
- Experience supporting or delivering arts, music, or cultural projects
- Experience working with volunteers or community organisations
- Strong digital, communication, and marketing skills
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a small team
Desirable
- Interest in traditional folk music or cultural heritage
- Experience with design or digital tools (e.g. Canva)
- Health & safety, safeguarding, or first aid training
