Traditional Music Day 2017
Saturday 2nd September 2017
Museum of East Anglian Life
This event was the outgoing Directors’ final event and incomer Director, Laura Cannell, arrived in post in the week leading up to this annual event. Ticket sales and final bookings proved this event to be the second best ever. The total number of people in attendance –ticket holders, volunteers and performers –were 679 for the day and evening.EATMT presented a well balanced programme.
Stepdancers from near and far were in attendance and people flocked to see not only the main artists in Edgar’s Farmhouse, but to events such as ‘A Song, A Step and A Story’, the Afternoon Ceilidh and to the ‘meet-the-artist’ event
Traditional Music Day wouldn’t be possible on the site of the Museum without the excellent team work from both MEAL (Museum of East Anglian Life) and the Tourist Information Centre and also without the Trust’s stalwart Volunteers and the Music Trust is truly grateful for these excellent working relationships.
